How are we different?

All science of reading based programs contain the 5 main components of reading. However, many students are still graduating from school without being able to read and write at a functional level. If you have tried other evidence based reading programs and they have not worked, or your student is still behind in reading or spelling, you may want to give Stevenson a try.

The Stevenson Reading Program works much differently than other popular reading methods. Mnemonics (memory clues), are carefully integrated sequentially and explicitly, throughout the entire curriculum, helping students process and remember phonetic rules and patterns. Most students find Stevenson fun and easy to understand. Students build up their confidence along with quickly increasing reading skills.

Stevenson is designed to be easy for teachers and tutors to follow and implement, as it provides scripted lessons and extra support throughout the teacher manual.
