With over 15 years of experience in special education, Jackie Baumgardner is a passionate advocate for students with diverse learning needs. She believes that reading is the cornerstone of all learning, the skill that opens doors to confidence, curiosity, and lifelong growth.
Throughout her career, Jackie has dedicated herself to helping students reach their fullest potential by providing the individualized support and encouragement they need to thrive. Her approach combines patience, empathy, and evidence-based teaching methods to make literacy accessible and empowering for every learner.

Jackie is proud to be part of The Need to Read, where she continues her mission to ensure that every child has the tools to succeed. She firmly believes that when a student learns to read, their entire world expands.
Outside the classroom, Jackie loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying quiet moments of reflection that recharge her creativity and passion for teaching.
