He trains educators, leads professional development and is one of the most passionate advocates the Stevenson program has ever had.

Nancy discovered the power of the Stevenson method while teaching deaf students who went from no letter recognition to reading confidently within a single school year. Since then she has trained educators across Texas and throughout the US, helping teachers unlock literacy for learners of every background.

With a Master's in Education and Counseling, a K-12 Intervention Specialist license and 22 years of experience, Lori has worked with learners that others had given up on. Trained personally by Bill Stevenson, she founded The Need to Read to bring this transformative program to families and educators everywhere.

Jackie brings 15 years of special education experience and an unshakeable belief that reading is the skill that opens every other door. Patient, empathetic and evidence-driven, she ensures The Need to Read operates with the same care and precision she brings to every student she has ever worked with.

A Behavioral Intervention Specialist with 19 years of experience, a Master's from the University of Miami and a K-12 Intervention Specialist license, Kacie has worked with some of the most complex learners in middle and high school. She brings structure, warmth and a deep understanding of what students need to grow.
