Nancy Ziehme discovered the Stevenson Learning Skills Program while teaching first-grade deaf education, where her students many of whom had no prior letter recognition began making astonishing progress. By year’s end, they were reading confidently and developing a genuine love for language.
Encouraged by this success, Nancy connected with Nancy Stevenson and William Stevenson, receiving mentorship that fueled her passion for training other teachers.
She soon began leading workshops across Texas and later throughout the U.S., showing educators how to unlock literacy for diverse learners.
Over the years, Nancy has worked in classrooms ranging from early elementary to junior high, helping students make multi-year reading gains in a single school year. Her dedication to spreading the Stevenson method continues to transform classrooms and inspire teachers nationwide.
